Welcome to the Samsø Winter Bathing Festival

In January, winter bathers, sauna lovers, curious first-timers and anyone who loves life come together for three magical days by the sea on Samsø. From Friday to Sunday, we’ll fill Ballen Marina with warm saunas, steamy guided sauna rituals, bubbling hot tubs, ice-cold dips, inspiring talks, yoga, workshops, community and great flavours.
Where cold meets heat. Silence and laughter. Calm and energy.
The festival is made for you if you love the feel of salt water on your skin, warm cheeks after a sauna, and that special rush of happiness that only winter swimming can bring. Whether you’re an experienced winter swimmer or taking your first cold dip, experiences for both body and mind await.
Enjoy delicious food and great drinks, meet people who share your passion, and experience Samsø’s winter landscape at its very best. To top it all off, the festival coincides with the year’s first supermoon, casting its special light over the sea, the harbour, the beach and the winter activities.
